Missouri Workers Power is a 501(c)4 non-profit organization. Our mission is to advocate for a just and equitable economy where poor and working people make more of the decisions that affect their daily lives.
Through civic engagement, political advocacy, and issue-based voter education and mobilization, we’re building a multi-racial working class movement with the political power to win a Missouri — and an America — that works for all of us.
key issues
An Economy for All of Us
We believe that no one, no matter who you are, where you come from, or who you love, should work full-time in the richest country in the history of the world and struggle to pay their bills, feed their family, or plan for their future. We are fighting to breathe new life into Missouri’s state motto: “Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law.”
Standing Together to Fight Racism
If we’re divided, we’re conquered. We won’t let corporations and the wealthy pit us against each other so they can get rich while our families and neighbors struggle. We’re coming together across race, gender, and geography because we know that we all do better when we all do better.
Protecting and Expanding Access to Democracy
This country works best when poor and working people have the power to make more of the decisions about the things that affect our daily lives. That means having greater access to democracy at the ballot box, at our jobs, and in our communities.
Healthy Families, Fair Wages
After over a decade of fast food and other low-wage workers fighting for $15 per hour and a union, Missouri officially raised the minimum wage to $15 per hour on January 1, 2026! Missouri Workers Power gathered over 30,000 signatures and knocked over 20,000 doors to pass the measure 57.5-42.5 (a 15 point margin!) in November 2024.
Missourians for Constitutional Reform
When Roe v. Wade was overturned, low-wage workers, across gender, race, and geography, stood together to say abortion rights are workers rights. That’s why we gathered over 5000 signatures and knocked over 20,000 doors and overturned Missouri’s extreme abortion ban. We celebrate this victory for all working people and will continue to fight to defend it.
